You can play an Occultist Witch (a pure Int class focused on chaos/cold damage and curses) as a Strength stacking Melee Cyclone build. ![]() You can play a Duelist Champion (a Str/Dex class focused on defense, physical Impale, Adrenaline, Taunts and aura bonuses to allies) as a damage over time spell caster. Up until now PoE1 has prided itself on being a game where you could play any of the main classes as anything else (and then use an Ascendancy to augment that playstyle). I didn't put it in the OT because it's speculative but there is a good chance PoE 2 focuses more on class mechanics, skills and identity than before. Shared End Game Experience: Path of Exile 2 will share the same end game system as the original game, and players who beat the old campaign or the new one will be funneled to a shared end game progression system.The existing 19 Ascendancies will get expanded to having 19 ADDITIONAL Ascendancies for a total of 38 Ascendancies!
